Contra Costa CountyRenovating in Danville.
Danville grew fast after I-680 opened in 1968, so a large share of its housing stock is single-family homes built between the 1970s and 1990s, with an older layer from the 1940s through the 1960s. The signature type here is the California rambler and ranch, one or two stories, traditional in style, and single-family residences make up roughly 74 percent of the town's inventory. Danville South holds some of the oldest pockets, with Dame Construction homes from the late 1960s into the 1970s running about 1,000 to 2,500 square feet on 4,000 to 12,000 square foot lots.
The neighborhoods span a wide range. Westside has walkable vintage homes near downtown and the Iron Horse Trail, Greenbrook is an established mid-century-to-1970s subdivision, and the gated Blackhawk community and the custom homes of Diablo sit at the higher end near Mount Diablo. Our matchmakers are based in Pleasant Hill, a short drive up I-680, and we have placed contractors on kitchen openings, primary-suite additions, detached ADUs, and full-scope renovations across these neighborhoods for years.
